Everyday

November 20th- Everyday

Every race may not be a PR, but there is something to be learned from every time we lace up our shoes.

Its a great idea to make a run log book for your workouts to learn from achievements and mistakes. Log everything from how you felt, the surfaces you ran on, the weather, the time of day, what you ate before and after, and your paces.

Log books are great for the following reasons...

1. They bring our goals to life. If it's a PR, a distance, or even body weight, write it down! You'll feel much more committed when you see it on paper.

2. They make training seem manageable. Write down your training plan step by step in your log book. Your goal won't seem so impossible once you know how to get there.

3. Seeing your progress can give you a confident boost when noticing how far you've come! Tracking your runs will keep you motivated and running interesting.

4. It can help avoid injury. Most running injuries don't just come out of nowhere. They build up gradually with little tweaks and tightness. Writing the pain down will help you understand what hurts, after how long, on what surfaces, and whether or not to take time off and cross train.

Stay positive, even on the bad runs and know a PR is right around the corner with hard work. :)

See you tomorrow! xoxo
